LARGE sections of Baghdad were in turmoil yesterday as former Iraqi intelligence officers demanding jobs hurled stones and charged American forces guarding occupation headquarters.

Three American soldiers and their Iraqi interpreter were killed and three other soldiers were wounded in a pair of roadside bombings in central Iraq.

A projectile was fired at the Iraqi Foreign Ministry in Baghdad today, causing a large explosion but no casualties, witnesses said.
