Boeing has halted deliveries of new 787s to customers until its electrical system is fixed.

A battery beneath the cockpit of the Boeing 787 forced to make an emergency landing in Japan was swollen from overheating, a safety official said today, as India joined the US and Japan in grounding the aircraft because of fire risk.
