A six-year-old girl developed severe brain damage within hours of being admitted to the emergency department at Galway University Hospital suffering from low blood sugar, an inquest has heard.

A MEDICAL researcher, anxious about the safety of three years of detailed work which was stored on computers that were stolen from her, has appealed for the return of the vital data.
