A PETTY criminal who died two days after being fatally stabbed and beaten in what may have been a vigilante-style attack was the father of two young boys and his widow is pregnant with their third child.

Vigilante-style attacks will not be tolerated in the wake of the murder of a young man in Dublin, Justice Minister McDowell warned today.
