Irish consumers will spend an estimated €528m on food and drink this Christmas, according to a new report.

Retailers will enjoy an anticipated spending bonanza this Christmas, with consumers expected to splurge about €1.5bn.

Irish people will spend around €41m on Halloween, with half saying the festival was as much for adults as it is for children.
