A Chinese national went on trial in Cork yesterday charged with four counts relating to the discovery of a €600,000 cannabis growhouse at an industrial unit in Cork City.

New charges were brought yesterday against three people accused of possession of almost €600,000 worth of cannabis in Cork City.

Gardaí arrested four people and brought them to Cork District Court yesterday on various charges arising out of the seizure at the weekend of €600,000 worth of cannabis plants growing at an industrial unit in South Link business park.

Three men and a woman have been charged with drugs offences following the discovery by gardaí of a €600,000 cannabis growhouse in an industrial estate in Cork city at the weekend.
