China is unlikely to join talks on an Asia-Pacific free trade agreement anytime soon, but eventually the world’s No 2 economy will have to be involved in the pact, according to New Zealand’s trade minister, Tim Groser.

THE outcome of the WTO talks on agriculture in Geneva at the end of July is a framework agreement and will have no immediate impact on world agri-markets, the Agricultural Science Association annual conference was told in Waterford yesterday.
