Farmers are eight times more likely than those in the general labour force to die in a workplace accident, according to the Health and Safety Authority.

Galway-based farmer Peter Gohery recalled the trauma of losing his leg in a farm accident to help IFA launch Farm Safety Week, which continues until Friday.
