Council chiefs have been ordered to report on the state of a ghost estate where a two-year-old boy drowned yesterday.

Gardaí and the HSE are continuing to investigate the death of a toddler on an unfinished housing estate in Athlone yesterday.

Two separate investigations were launched after a toddler drowned in a pool of water on a ghost estate.
