Eugene Donnelly and co-driver, Paul Kiely on board their Kumho backed Toyota Corolla WRC took a dramatic win on the Shell Donegal International Rally, the fourth round of the Pirelli Irish Tarmac Championship.

Consolidating his lead role on the second run, Ray Breen went on to win the Cork Single Stage Rally, his first ever victory.

With Roy White/Michael Patterson bowing out of the Condroz Rally, the final event of the 2001 Belgian Championship, the top Irish crew at the end of the two day, 22 stage event was Seamus Heron and Gerry McVeigh.
