The Crafty Butcher, who was proving very costly to follow, finally got his act together for Ruby Walsh when taking the Holy Thursday Maiden Hurdle at Clonmel yesterday.

Davy Condon has developed a good partnership with the Gillian O’Callaghan stable in recent months and the pair struck with 20/1 chance Coldwinters in the Greville Arms Hotel Handicap Hurdle at Kilbeggan last night.

CAPTAIN PAULIE, disappointing at Wexford previously, was back on track in the Munster Waste Management Handicap Hurdle at a packed Cork yesterday.

IT’S Chepstow this afternoon for just three rides, but I’m certainly not making the journey for a day out and will be disappointed if failing to get among the winners.
