The number of locations where speed cameras are used is to set to expand by 40% as gardaí report a large drop in fatal collisions in areas where they already operate.

Almost 400 motorists have been caught drink driving on at least four occasions over the past four years, a major Garda study has revealed.

More than 8,700 people have been caught drink-driving so far this year.
