When gardaí told one of the two boys accused of Ana Kriegel's murder that her blood was found on his boots he replied, "are you joking me" and asked: "Are you actually being serious about this?" the Central Criminal Court has heard.

The jury in the Ana Kriegel trial has heard her blood was found on boots belonging to one of two teenage boys accused of murdering the schoolgirl.

One of the two boys who denies murdering schoolgirl Anastasia Kriegel told a garda he believed that injuries the other accused said he suffered in an assault by older boys were actually inflicted by Ana.
