A man who allowed others to lodge cheques into his bank account has pleaded guilty to possession of around €50,000 in criminal profits, a court has heard.

An alcoholic mother who kicked a pregnant garda in the stomach in 2003 has been given a two years prison sentence by Judge Michael White at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
