A convicted child molester who sexually assaulted two Limerick girls on the LUAS while they were en-route to a Rihanna concert will be sentenced in January.

A woman detained in 1993 on suspicion of her husband’s murder told a garda she liked that she didn’t know if she could trust the detectives interviewing her but that she was ready to tell her story.

The prosecution in the trial of a man arrested when gardaí found a handgun hidden inside a van in north Dublin in June last year, has claimed he was wearing a tee-shirt with ‘Óglaigh na hÉireann’ written on it at the time.
