A fingermark made by a man on trial accused of murdering his former partner was found on the same bloodstained knife that also yielded the deceased's DNA, a jury has heard.

The trial of four men accused of having equipment for printing counterfeit currency has been adjourned until Tuesday after new information about a fifth suspect in the case was furnished to the defence.

A Wexford man accused of orally raping and sexually assaulting his former partner told gardaí that he had been beaten up by the woman on at least one occasion and claimed that she was “good with the hands” when angered.
