A man who sent sexually explicit text messages and images to at least 10 women has admitted harassment.

A Wexford man claimed yesterday he was in the UK when a member of An Garda Síochána saw him in a drunken disturbance at a hotel in Cork in 2015.

A Cork man was jailed for seven years yesterday after a “manic explosion” saw him hijack a jeep by attacking a garda with a knife, smash the jeep through a fence at Cork Airport, hijack another jeep and drive it at two planes full of passengers.
