Human traffickers are targeting tens of thousands of women from regions in Nepal left destroyed by last month’s devastating earthquake.

Nepali police and local volunteers have found the bodies of about 100 trekkers and villagers buried in an avalanche set off by last month’s devastating earthquake. 

Runway damage forced Nepalese authorities to close the main airport yesterday to large aircraft delivering aid to millions of people following the massive earthquake, but UN officials said the overall logistics situation was improving.

The first supplies of food aid began reaching remote mountain villages in Nepal after the earthquake that killed more than 5,500 people.
