A lunchtime board meeting at Anfield today could pave the way for either Steve Morgan or Thai PM Thaksin Shinawatra to invest upwards of £70m (€104m) in Liverpool.

BUILDING tycoon Steve Morgan yesterday revealed Liverpool turned down his bid to inject £50 million (€75m) into the club in a shares issue.

Liverpool are considering a share issue which will allow building millionaire Steve Morgan an influential voice in the future of the club.
