THE five schoolgirls killed when the Bus Éireann school bus bringing them home went out of control and overturned were not wearing seatbelts.

The Garda investigation into the death of a schoolboy in the Offaly bus crash was hampered by a lack of proper equipment, it was claimed today.

“TO LOSE a child is a nightmare. We are now existing instead of living. Our once close-knit family has been torn apart. Sadly this is all down to one person, Mr Bloomfield.”
