Two Co Waterford men arrested during garda investigations into dissident terrorist activity were charged with IRA membership at the Special Criminal Court in Dublin today.

A fourth man arrested following garda investigations in to the activities of dissident republicans has appeared before a special sitting of the Special Criminal Court this afternoon charged with the possession of explosive substances.

The doctor who examined a woman at the centre of a rape allegation has told a Central Criminal Court jury that there was no forensic evidence of a rape having taken place.
