A 65-year-old man accused of breaching an order by threatening to burn down the family home was refused bail yesterday.

A woman threatened to set her dogs on gardaí and she later attacked an officer by kicking him and scratching his neck with her nails until she drew blood.

A Polish motorist with an open can of cider in the cup holder of his car and an open bottle of vodka on the passenger seat insisted: "Me no drinking" when approached by a garda.
