A drug addict who hijacked a woman's car at gunpoint and refused to allow her take her handbag from it before he drove off, has been given a seven years sentence by Judge Katherine Delahunt.

A total of 20 years in consecutive sentences has been imposed on a drug addict who committed seven robberies to pay back a €25,000 debt to "people you don’t want to mess with".
