A drink-driving case was dramatically dismissed against a two-time All Star hurler last night after his uncle admitted giving him whiskey after the sports star had knocked down a pedestrian.

A FORMER two-time All Star Limerick hurler appeared in court yesterday charged in connection with a hit and run last year.
