A teenager celebrated like a football player after chasing a homeless man through Cork city before kicking and stamping him on the head, it was claimed yesterday.

Gardaí arrested a man and charged him with 14 counts of causing criminal damage to parked cars and business premises in the Union Quay area of Cork in the early hours of yesterday.

A man who tried to rob a shop armed with a knife has been denied bail.
