WELCOME plans for a grandmother and two children plucked from the war zone in Lebanon and reunited with their estranged father in Ireland were scuppered yesterday afternoon after the 57-year-old woman was rushed to a doctor, suffering from a heart condition, exhaustion and dehydration.

A DISTRAUGHT father of two will today be united with his two children, one of whom he has never seen.
