A Co Cork man, who was jailed for eight years last month for killing a young man through his aggressive driving under the influence of drink and cocaine, returned to court yesterday looking for his van back.

A van driver smoked cannabis, snorted cocaine, and drank at least 15 pints of beer, before knocking down and killing a young Frenchman in Cork city and then going on the run.

A Cork man drove aggressively through a red light killing a French man in Cork city, then drove off and fled the country, and today he was jailed for eight years and banned from driving for 40 years.
