SHOW JUMPERS Shane Breen and Marie Burke completed an Irish double at the Longines Royal International Horse Show in Hickstead at the weekend.

BILLY TWOMEY yesterday capped a great weekend for Irish show jumpers, winning the grand prix at St Tropez.

Jessica Kurten made it three-in-a-row for the Irish when winning the Young Horse Final at Balve, Germany this afternoon, on the seven year-old Cosima Shiva.

EVENTING followers will be disappointed to hear that Blarney Castle International Three-day Event will not be run this year. The event was scheduled to return to the eventing calendar in 2006, having not run since 2001.

THE Show Jumping Association of Ireland (SJAI) selectors have made the prudent decision to nominate Trevor Coyle ahead of Jessica Kürten for the Gothenburg World Cup Show in Sweden next week.
