New Zealand has banned a horror film starring Elijah Wood as a scalp-collecting serial killer from general release after the government deemed it too graphic and disturbing for the public.

Tonight is the opening of the inaugural Twisted Celluloid Film Festival at the Triskel Christchurch cinema in Cork City.

Set during one evening, this frightener could have been so much better - but is let down by poor characterisation, weak plotting and all-round indifference.
