A MURDER trial in Tralee heard the brother of the deceased testify yesterday that he saw the accused man showing no mercy as he drove a slash hook through his brother, who was lying on the ground.

A Tralee man denied murdering another man in the town two years ago and today a trial commenced where it was claimed that the accused struck the deceased several times with a slash hook.
