THE Bishop of Cork and Ross is taking expert “canonical” advice on the Vatican’s decision to overturn his removal of an active priest from ministry, and will then decide whether to appeal its decision.

THE priest at the centre of a dispute between the Vatican and the diocese of Cork and Ross is reportedly considering legal action against the Bishop John Buckley over comments he made about him, particularly about a firearm conviction he received.

THE Vatican has come to the defence of a priest, convicted of a firearm offence, who was removed from his ministry by the Bishop of Cork and Ross, John Buckley.
