A verdict of accidental death has been recorded at the inquest into the tragic loss of a 17-month-old Cork toddler who was hit by his father’s tractor last summer.

Two separate investigations are under way following the death of a five-year-old boy on farmland in the midlands yesterday.

A toddler died after he was knocked down by a tractor on a farm in Co Cork and Aaron O’Flaherty, the 9-year-old boy who was rescued from the sea in Co Clare late last Sunday, has lost his fight for life.
