A Cavan man who was convicted by a jury of intimidating his former flatmate arising out of a stabbing incident following the 2004 All-Ireland Football Final between Mayo and Kerry will be sentenced in April.

The uncle of a man jailed for seven years for stabbing a teenage father during a street brawl in Tallaght has been given a two year suspended sentence for production of a knife in relation to the fatal incident.

A Chinese man who kidnapped, robbed and demanded €8,000 from a fellow national has been sentenced to eight years in prison by Judge Frank O’Donnell at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
