Pounds around Ireland are filling up with dogs as people make way for a Christmas puppy.

A puppy farm in south county Wicklow which was raided this week is being described as one of the worst cases of animal cruelty and abuse ever seen in this country.

I APPEAL to all farmers to have their dogs and cats neutered during National Spay Week from September 30 to October 6.
