The prime suspect in an al-Qaida-linked plot to strike Jordan with chemical weapons threw his shoes at military judges during a stormy hearing in Amman and told them terror mastermind Abu-Musab al-Zarqawi will “chop off” their heads.

Nine terror suspects, allegedly involved in an al-Qaida-linked plot to carry out chemical and conventional attacks in Jordan, obstructed today’s opening of their trial, refusing to acknowledge military judges hearing the case.

Jordan’s military court today convicted a terror suspect of raising funds to help Abu-Musab al-Zarqawi, the most-wanted militant in Iraq, carry out attacks on US forces there and against Jordanian interests in the kingdom.

JORDAN’S military court convicted eight Muslim militants yesterday and sentenced them to death for the 2002 killing of a US aid official in a terror conspiracy linked to al-Qaida.
