THE editor-in-chief of Playboy Indonesia was yesterday acquitted of charges that he violated the Muslim nation’s indecency laws by publishing pictures of scantily clothed women.

Playboy was targeted for prosecution by a hard-line Islamic group in Indonesia because it is “the world’s icon of pornography”, a prominent member testified today in the trial of the American magazine’s top editor.
