Gardai were travelling 9.5 seconds at behind a car that crashed at high speed resulting in the death of a back seat passenger, an inquest heard.

The mother of a woman killed in a high speed car crash says she wants a passenger in the car to give evidence at an inquest into her death. 

A man who was banned from the road when his dangerous driving caused the death of a back seat passenger has received an eight-and-a-half-year jail sentence.
