A jury of 10 woman and two men has acquitted Donegal man accused of raping a woman who said she had earlier snorted cocaine while socialising in a Dublin city centre late-night drinking venue.

The man charged with threatening to kill his Mayo-native former flatmate unless he withdrew a statement he made to gardaí has denied the allegation in evidence at his trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

There was no forensic evidence that a Donegal man carried out an alleged rape in a Dublin bedsit on a girl who said she had earlier snorted cocaine, the Central Criminal Court has heard.
