A childcare worker, who suffered first and second degree burns to her legs and inner thighs following a laser bikini treatment that went wrong, has been awarded damages against Havana Therapy Limited.

A High Court judge has awarded €450,000 damages to a woman after finding her life was devastated as a result of being sexually abused by a man over a 10-year period, beginning when she was just four years old.

A call for more Government funding for the GAA was made by Con Hogan, Chairman, at Tipperary GAA convention in Thurles today.
