Employees at a drugs’ manufacturer which was put into administration are hoping to make an unusual plea under the social responsibility charter of a former owner.

Avara Shannon Pharmaceutical Services Ltd was hopelessly insolvent, was loss-making to the tune of €9.5m per year and is unable to pay its workers, the court was told.
