The team which identified the Irish tomb of Princess Diana’s great-great grandfather plans to open the graveyard to visitors as a part of a new, historic graves project.

A graveyard restoration project in Cork has uncovered the ancient burial tomb of a direct ancestor of Diana, Princess of Wales.

Two 12 year-olds yesterday were confirmed by the Pope at a ceremony in St Peter’s Square in Rome.

A boy and a girl from Co Cork will have the honour of being the first Irish people to be confirmed by Pope Francis in a ceremony to be held in St Peter’s Square, Rome, next Sunday.
