IT IS not known yet whether the 25-foot motor cruiser that burst into flames killing three men on the Beara peninsula this week will be raised from the seabed.

THE SON of one of the men who perished in the fishing tragedy off West Cork should have been aboard the ill-fated fishing vessel — but decided at the last minute to help a neighbouring farmer “save the hay”.

TO ANYONE who lived in Glengarriff, they were known as the “gentlemen’s fishing club”.
