BILLY TWOMEY almost gave Irish fans the perfect ending yesterday to the Fáilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show but, in the end, he had to settle for third in the feature event, the €200,000 Longines Grand Prix.

It was three-in-a-row for Ireland at the Failte Ireland Dublin Horse Show today with Billy Twomey and Shane Breen taking outright victory in the first two classes and Cian O'Connor sharing victory in the Puissance.

Shane Breen and Dorada completed an Irish double at Hickstead as they pipped Ellen Whitaker and her specialist horse Henri de Herne for the £3,000 first prize in the Sky Sports Speed Classic at the Longines Royal International Horse Show.
