A winged spaceship designed to take tourists on excursions beyond Earth’s atmosphere exploded during a test flight over the Mojave Desert, killing a pilot.

The 16-year-old boy had just wounded a classmate he claimed had bullied him, fired two more rounds at students fleeing their first- period science class, then faced teacher Ryan Heber.

A 16-year-old student armed with a shotgun walked into a rural California high school, shot one student and fired at others and missed before a teacher and another staff member talked him into surrendering, officials said.
