ARMED members of the Garda Regional Response Unit monitored the funeral of Limerick crime boss Philip Collopy yesterday, as a horse-drawn hearse bearing an aluminium casket made its way through the city centre.

Nine men convicted of charges relating to a “pitched battle” between members of Limerick feuding factions outside a family restaurant, have been jailed for a total of just over 38 years.
