The White House has barred several media outlets from a press conference held by President Trump's Press Secretary, Sean Spicer.

Media columnist David Carr — who wrote the Media Equation column for The New York Times and penned a memoir about his fight with drug addiction — collapsed at his office and died on Thursday. He was 58.

The executive editor of The New York Times, Bill Keller, will step down this summer after eight years on the job and will be replaced by managing editor Jill Abramson, who will become the first woman to hold the newspaper’s top editing post.
