Airbus has acquired a majority stake in Bombardier's C Series aircraft programme, the companies have announced.

Almost 100 jobs are being shed in Northern Ireland by aircraft manufacturer Bombardier.

More than 1,000 jobs are to be shed at the Bombardier aircraft manufacturer this year in Belfast, a union leader said.

Bombardier is to cut its workforce in the North by more than 1,000 over the next two years.

Up to 60 temporary jobs will be lost at Bombardier manufacturers in the North.
