World leaders must put tackling poverty at the heart of future global policy making, Irish campaigners demanded today.

AS the World Bank meets in Dublin this week we, as Irish global justice organisations, would like to highlight our deep concerns about the often devastating impact of the bank’s practices on the lives of poor people throughout the world.

Funding of £3m has today been announced in Britain to help restore consumer confidence in the food and drink industry left badly damaged by the foot-and-mouth crisis.
