A six-minute film depicting the life of a single mother in Irish society has had more than 650,000 views in less than 24 hours.

A two-minute video depicting Irish women’s journeys across the Irish Sea to access abortions received almost quarter of a million views in its first 24 hours online.

The Irish Film Board has announced the nine short films that will be funded as part of the AFTER ’16 initiative.
