An events promoter has avoided the threat of being jailed over a €250,000 debt to comedian Mario Rosenstock after being declared bankrupt.

A judge has warned a “failed promoter” he could be sent to jail if he does not get a “normal” job to pay back a debt of about €250,000 to comedian Mario Rosenstock.

While the Killarney name adorns the failed festival which was due to be held in ‘the Kingdom’ this weekend, there was little Kerry involvement behind the scenes of the cancelled event.
